The Renaissance The meaning of Renaissance is rebirth or reawakening. ( 1 ) It was considered to have begun in the 14th century through the recovery by Italian scholars of Greek and Roman classical literature. ( 2 ) The end of the Renaissance period came about from the economic decline of Italy and from being under a de-facto Spanish rule. This resulted in less money being spent on the arts and the artists and thinkers were unable to freely express their own ideas and opinions. ( 3 ) Most of the great masters came during the High Renaissance; Leonardo Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Raphael. The High Renaissance was characterised as harmony, clarity, and repose. Ancient Egypt

Ancient Egypt People talking about Ancient Egypt are usually referring to the dynastic period where Egypt was ruled by a King or Pharaoh. The dynastic period lasted from around 3100 BCE until 30 BCE with King Narmer being the first and the very famous Cleopatra VII. Soon after Cleopatra's death Egypt was absorbed by Rome. When I was in High School I had a fascination with the ancient Greek, Roman, and Egyptian gods and goddesses after reading the Percy Jackson novels. The World is a Beautiful Place

Looking Through the Trees This image comes from a really small town in Ohio called Waldo where my friend lived. I wanted to use an image that didn't just show the immediate world around me. But the world around me that is hundreds of thousands of miles away from me.  I will be using this image of the sun shining through the trees as inspiration for an interior space. Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend

Moulin Rouge I couldn't count the amount of times I've seen Moulin Rouge if you asked. It would have to be at least 50 times in the past decade. The very first time I watched the film I was mesmerised by all the colours, the dancing, and the music. It's been my favourite ever since.
